As a jet-setting personal health consultant, Akbar Shaikh was at the top of his field, helping fellow youngsters and health finicky people to get healthier and boost their morale.
As a Human Rights Member, he specialized in fighting for basic rights and freedoms that belong to every person in the world, from birth until death.
But Akbar wanted more.
He wanted to turn his passion for love, kindness, and compassion into a venture that would make the world a better place.
MADAT FOUNDATION
Akbar started Madat Foundation in 2015, a one- of-a-kind, award-winning charitable foundation dedicated to good times, good deeds, on humanitarian grounds.
Through Madat Foundation, he is showing the world that philanthropy and profit can go hand-in-hand.
Akbar’s love for humans, animals, and the planet is palpable.
He created a Kindness Wall at Madat, where those in need can take seasonal clothing, umbrellas, blankets and essentials bags filled with basic necessities. School kit for the underprivileged, medical expenses and free ambulance service.
He also offers free meals, and hosts Give Forward community days where people can get free haircuts, job placement assistance, and health checks.
In addition, in the five years since its opening Madat has raised more than Rs: 25,00,000 for humanitarian, environmental, social justice, and animal advocacy charities.
KHIDMAT-E-MASJID
Under the umbrella of his Madat foundation non-profit, Khidmat-E-Masjid is Akbar’s latest venture, and He serves as caretaker to nearly 100 nearby mosques with his cleanliness drive every Thursday.
Singlehandedly, he’s helped dozens of individuals transition to a better lifestyle, as well as transformed the entire community of Yewlewadi, Kondhwa, Camp and nearby areas , into a safe, clean, liveable and financially stable environment.
